Is It Normal To Have Pain In Right Side Of Back After A Surgery In Right Knee?

I am due to have surgery on my right knee; it is very painful. Recently, I have experienced dreadful pains along my right side back along the belt area. Could this pain have anything to do with my pelvis. When this occurs I need to bend and find it difficult to do anything but sit down. Also,, could this pain reflect or have anything to do with the terrible condition of my right knee?

Hi there.

I don't suppose that the two painful conditions are linked together.
Pain in the back in your case is probably due to inflammation of the sacro-iliac joint (joint between the pelvic and spine bones.)

Kindly get an Xray done of the pelvis.
Get an Arthritis panel blood test done.

In the meantime start with Indomethacin tablet twice daily.
Take some redt.
Hot fomentation with local analgesic gel massage will help.

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
