Is It Normal To Have No Motion After Ileostomy Surgery?

I had surgery to reverse my ileostomy surgery. The surgery went very well; i returned home after 4 days and except for some minor pain which is relieved by hydrocodone, I feel fine. I expected to have more bowel movements, but after the first couple of days I have not had a movement for the past two days. What do you suggest? Thank.

Hi and welcome.
It may take even up to 7 days after ileosotmy to have bowel movements so we tolerate this time and you should not worry. Just take more fluids and easier food, milk products and low fatty food. It will improve in short time.
Wish you good health. Regards
