Is It Normal To Have No Heart Beat In The Fetus In Early Pregnancy?

Hi My wife is pregnant and the last USG (TVS) done shows a fetal pole, yolk sac and CRL measuring 2.4mm but no cardiac activity. The report says 5 week 5 days CRL but gestational age 9 weeks though dates are not matching. Doctor says every other thing is in good shape except no heart beat and suggesred a TVS after a week or two. Is this normal to have no heart beat at this stage? Is there any chance of hope. Pls advise.

Hi, Thanks..
Usually Cardiac activity is seen at 6 weeks.. Ur wife might be having a late conception.. If the decidual reaction is good you can wait for 2 weeks and get a USG repeated to see for fetal growth and cardiac activity. If the growth have increased by 2 weeks then nothing to worry.
