Is It Normal To Have Mild Breast And Nipple Soreness While On Generic Sprintec?

19 years old, been on the generic form of sprintec for a month and two weeks. My period isn t due for another 2-3 weeks. I have mild breast and nipple soreness, only hurts when touched of course, wearing a bra or no bra doesn t cause irritation. Do I have anything to worry about or is this a normal hormonal thing?

Sprintec contains both norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancy from unprotected sexual activities. This medication is also used to treat acnes. It prevents ovulation by changing cervical mucus and uterine changing. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can cause breast pain and tenderness.

As Sprintec contains both ethinyl estradiol, a female natural hormone estrogen and norgestimate, a female natural hormone progesterone, so the estrogen and progesterone levels of your body may be fluctuated and fluctuations of these hormones can cause breast enlargement and tenderness, nipples soreness etc. This side effects are usually mild and self limiting as well as the body adjusts to this medication.
