Is It Normal To Gain Weight While Injecting Lovenox Before And Post Back Surgery?

I ve been injecting with Lovenox before and post back surgery. I weigh normally about 210 lbs but noticed that I ve gained about 10 lbs in the last week while on Lovenox. Is this normal since my diet has actually been reduced during this process. WFB

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Lovenox is not commonly associated with weight gain, it is not a medically documented side effect of this medication.

Persons can react differently to medication, so it is possible that though it is not a known side effect that it may be contributing to your problem.

Since you may also have decreased mobility because of the back surgery, this is also likely a factor in the weight gain.

I hope this helps
