Is It Necessary To Maintain A Six Hour Gap Between Mefanorm And Retherma?

Doctor my son is 4 years old.he is having viral fever.doctor has given retherma ac syrup and mefanorm. He said to keep 3 hours gap between this two medicines. At midnight as the temp was high I gave him mefanorm and again at 6 am he was having high fever so after 6 hrs I again gave mefanorm is this safe

Hello,

Mefanorm (Mefenamic acid) is a Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug and repeated use is not safe and is always advised after food.

Retherma-AC Suspension(Paracetamol 250 mg/5 ml + Phenylephrine 5 mg/5 ml + Chlorpheniramine 2 mg/5 ml) is better option.
