Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i bleed during sex sometimes especially when doing doggie style. My last 2 pap test came back abnormal and am seeing a gyn now. He told me to go back in a couple of month for another pap test im very worried as i read on the internal often bleeding during intercourse is associated with cervical cancer
Bleeding during intercourse is found normally in some cases when performing rough and unusual sex positions because vaginal walls and uteruscervix may be damaged.
Since you have had an abnormal pap test result, the possibility of bleeding is higher because the mucous of cervix is more fragile.
This does not mean a cervical cancer, but different cell changes that may lead in the future malignant diseases if it's not treated. You have done the best thing that you have gone through pap test and continue to keep relations with your gynecologist.
Contact continuously him and do the necessary tests and treatment suggested. If it's treated properly and early will be not any risks for you!
Take care and all the best! DR ERIOL.
