Is It Advisable To Walk While Having Pain Shocks In Thigh And Sciatica?

If I have sciatica nerve trouble I am having trouble with my right thigh I get pain shocks and burning feeling when I walk sometimes it almost unbearable then when I sit down and rub my leg it lets up.i have had a MRI it showed that I have a pinched nerve in my L3. Doctors say I should exercise and strength my back and stomach muscles . If I have these feelings in my thigh should I be walking on it when I start to walk sometimes for the first few steps it seems like it willn t carry my weight. Regards Larry Lennon

Hi,
As you got Sciatica pain, avoid brisk walking or running as it might give more pressure on nerves might damage nerves.
You can go for light walking.
Go for swimming daily.
Avoid lifting heavy weight and bending from back.
Do back extension exercise daily for 10 minutes in the morning and evening.
Take B1, B6, B12 and calcium supplements.
Ok and take care.
