General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Yes intermittent bleeding and back pain may be symptoms of miscarriage.
But it should be confirmed by pelvic examination and USG.

Other cause may be:
1. Implantation bleeding: which occurs about 4 weeks into your pregnancy as the fertilized egg attaches to your uterine wall
2. Hormonal changes, Sexual intercourse, Infections
3. Subchorionic hemorrhage
4. Ectopic pregnancy
5. Molar pregnancy, characterized by an abnormal growth on the placenta, and, usually, an abnormal fetus.

So for safer side immediately consult the gynecologist and confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
