Is Intake Of Atarax Drops To Improve Sleep Safe For A Baby?

Hi doctor. My 18month old doesn t sleep too well at night. He wakes up anywhere between 3-6/7 times to be nursed. This has been happening right from his infancy stage and now a doctor has prescribed Atarax drops(l ml) on the hour from 8:00 onwards until bedtime. In our case that would be around 3 doses as my son sleeps anytime between 10:30 and 11:00. How safe is Atarax and should I administer the dos rage? He sleep on a full tummy so I don t understand why he wakes up so often every night. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks
