Hi
I needed some more information. Why did your doctor decide to induce labour at 38 weeks of pregnancy?
Do you have any pregnancy problems like diabetes, hypertension etc?

If you are keeping good health and have no pregnancy problems if I were your doctor I would wait till completion of 40 weeks of pregnancy with weekly clinic follow up. If not delivered by 40 weeks pregnancy, then I would do internal examination to try to separate gestational sac membrane from the uterus wall (sweeping of membranes). I would induce labour at 41 weeks if not delivered by then.
I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
