Is Honey Dangerous To Babies?

My 6 month old just ingested the equivalent of 2-3 drops of honey because she stuck her hand on my toast and put her hand in her mouth before i got the chance to wipe it off. What should I do? I hear honey can be very dangerous to babies under 12 months.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Few drops does nothing. Please do not worry. If consumed in excess, at the most it might cause some loose stools. Very very rarely it can cause descending paralysis and I again reiterate it is very very rare. Please do not worry.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
