Is High Creatinine Responsible For Trace Right Pelviectasis?

Hi, In my annual physical exams, creatinine was high measuring 1.39 mg/dL, repeated the test 2 month later and measured 1.34 mg/dL, going backwards from most recent to earliest it was 1.08, 1.05 and 1.3 for 5 years. GFR-Other was 59. Renal sonogram impression was a trace right pelviectasis. I have been referred to a nephrologist. I am in my mid-50s and run 2-3 times a week on trails (6-10 km at a time). Is there a relationship between the elevated creatinine and the pelviectasis? What else should I be looking for, I may have had symptoms that may have been dismissed. Finally, is this condition normal in adults? I do not recall any history of renal probelms to date. Thanks kindly.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety.
The creatinine is elevated and the pelviectasis maybe related to this.
There're 2 ways to establish this:
1. CECT (contrast CT scan). This will show how significant the pelviectasis is.
2. Isotope renal scan. This will show the function of the two kidneys.
Whether the right kidney function, is affected or not, will be clear in this.
Once the report's are available,a proper advice can be given.
If you've any doubts, send the reports to me,as a direct question to me.
