Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI I am a 25 year old female, I usually get nipple pain and abdomen pain two- three weeks before my period which stops after I get my period .Is this normal? This has been the case since I was 18 and this year I have missed my period twice. My haemoglobin level is 13. I also get back ache and body ache a week before my period.
Hemoglobin value of 13 is well within the normal range and there is nothing to worry about.
Pain prior to period is quite common in early reproductive age. As a first-line management analgesics like mefenamic acid can be tried for pain relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
