Is Heart Palpitation A Symptom Of Menopause?

Hi. I have recently (in the past two months or so) begun experiencing irregular heart beat on occasion as I lay down in bed. It subsides after about 15 minutes or so. I am 48 and eat a very healthy diet. Is this a menopausal thing or something to be more concerned about?

Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

if you are facing frequent palpitation it is better to consult a cardiologist. he may give you an holter monitor which takes your heart activity for 24 hours. From which it can be found if there really is irregular beating of heart or it is just simply in your mind you feel. some times people feel things due to stress or anxiety or depression.

Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
