General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Missing a pill by few hours may not cause any significant difference in efficacy of the pill. In case you missed a pill by one or two days, you can take the forgotten pills the next day. A back up method of contraception will be quite helpful in preventing pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
