Is Frequent Urination Normal After A Hernia Surgery?
I am a woman who had hernia surgery today and it was successful but now that I m home I am having to go urinate quite frequently. Having to go so often and being limited to walking it is very painfully. should I go back to the hospital. There is no burning and this is not normal for me
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Yes, but it should not persist for longer periods since bladder is not manipulated during surgery. Anestheisa, prolonged laying and intravenous infusions may lead to frequent urination so this is not unusual.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
