Is Frequent Urination Normal After A Hernia Surgery?

I am a woman who had hernia surgery today and it was successful but now that I m home I am having to go urinate quite frequently. Having to go so often and being limited to walking it is very painfully. should I go back to the hospital. There is no burning and this is not normal for me

Yes, but it should not persist for longer periods since bladder is not manipulated during surgery. Anestheisa, prolonged laying and intravenous infusions may lead to frequent urination so this is not unusual.
