Is Fetal Heart Beat Of 58 During 6 Weeks Of Pregnancy A Cause Of Concern?
Hi, I am 6 week 7 day pregnant and ultrasound show baby heart beat 58 beats per minute. I am so worried about it. My doctor told me baby is not going to survive at this heart beat. I wanna know the right truth. Can i do something for this any medicine..... i have no pain not any discomfort. Doctor told me to go another ultrasound after 2 week but in this waiting period i gonna mad to think about it. So i want to know the truth about this theory and the chances of my baby survival.
Definitely, a fetal heart rate of 58/minute is very low, particularly at a 6 or 7 weeks of pregnancy. Normally, with such low fetal heart rate, baby does not survive and a miscarriage becomes imminent.
However, some times, the heart beat may just have started to pick up in the beginning, when ultrasound was done. Hence, in such cases, a repeat ultra-sound is always to be advised after some time. This seems the right decision, your doctor has taken to go for another ultrasound after 2 weeks. Further management will be done on the basis of report of this ultra-sound.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
