Thanks for contacting with your health query

1. An eosinophil is a type of white blood cells and Normal value of eosinophil count is 0.0 - 6.0% so your value is slightly raised above the normal but not alarming [value may vary in different laboratories so please check the same]

2. One has to exclude common cause(s) of raised eosinophil count like:
- allergic disorder like asthma, hay fever, eczema, serum sickness, angio neuroic oedema
- parasitic infectation lije hookworm,ascariasis,filariasis,cysticercosis
- use of drugs like aspirin, iodides, penicillin, nitrofurantoin, sulphonamides
- Malignancy

3. You need to see a Hematologist/Pathologist since eosinophil count is just used to help confirm a diagnosis and does not provide information whether is caused by allergy or parasitic infection.
