General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, difficulty in moving the arm can be an indication of nerve damage but there can be other reasons like sprain, strain, inflamed tendon/muscle, fracture, torn rotator cuff, inflammation of lymph nodes in the under armpits, bicep injury, etc. Neglect will lead to frozen shoulder, neuralgia or heart problems. Visit ER, get examined. Take Tylenol Or Advil along with multivitamins with folic acid B12, B6, B1, zinc & magnesium. Nerve damages take time to heal, have patience. You can see a Physiotherapist, take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
