Is Difficulty In Bending The Cut Thumb Finger Due To Tendon Damage?
Hello I cut my thumb on a glass cup yesterday. I went to the er and they gave me 5 stitches. The doctor said it didn t look like I damaged any tendons but I can t bend my thumb. It s hard to bend my other fingers and my wrist. It was a deep cut and I m not sure if this is normal if no tendons we re damaged
Even if there is no tendon damaged, usually there would be some minor injuries unseen. It takes some time to heal and with some anti-inflammatory agent to subside the triggering agents we can get rid of the symptoms.
For now, you take any painkillers and leave the hand to heal on its own. If not healed in a few days, then you can go for physiotherapy for perfect joint movements.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
