General & Family Physician 's  Response
There are two types of disorders in retina associated with diabetes. It is called 'Proliferative' and 'Non-proliferative' diabetic retinopathy. This occurs due to microvascualr complications. Non-proliferative type, to a certain extent is reversible with good glucose control and use of antioxidants.
