Is Cholecystectomy Advisable For A Person With Atrial Fibrillation?
My mother s doctor has recommended gallbladder surgery after a recent gallbladder attack. she had a hida scan which showed a nonfunctional gallbladder. I am concerned about surgery do to her age. She also has atrial fibrillation and takes pradaxa for that. What questions should I be asking?
Yes there are no contraindications for colecistectomy if in atrial fibrillation unless it is not stable.However it is the cardiologist that will decide about it.
