Is Cauterization Required For Mild Cervical Dysplasia?

I got a PAP test that showed a mild cervical dysplasia. And i have scheduled a colposcopy and biopsy for tomorrow. The doctor suggested to do a cauterization for removing the cells. Is it realy necessary to do it if I only have a mild dysplasia? I am concerned since I read it might have negative effects such as infertility due to cicatrization or future miscarriage.I got an HPV test last year that was positive, but NOT for the types 16,18,31,33,6 or 11.Thank you!

your concern is genuine but not to terrify you, you should no that dysplasia may lead to cancer. you haven't mentioned about your marriage and kids so i suggest if you already have kids then go for cauterization. its not a question of retaining fertility its the choice of removing the illness. thanks
