Is Brownish Semen A Cause For Concern?

Hi..I m 43yrs old aND 4 days ago noticed a redish tinge in my Semen. .the night after sex noticed was the same...I left it for a day and now have checked and the colour is now like a merKY slightly brownish colour...I have no pain down there and have checked for lumps but are none...I m getting worried please help

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Brownish semen or appearance of reddish semen could have happened due to mucosal injury resulting in mild bleeding in the genito-urinary tract. You may not worry for now and give some time for it to heal by itself by abstaining from sexual activities for a week. Drink good quantity of fluids during this time.
In case it recurs next time, you need to get the following done:
1. Ultrasound of scrotum to look for testis and epididymis.
2. Semen analysis.
3. Urine microscopy.
Along with the report, kindly consult Urologist for further evaluation and management.
