Is Blood In Urine A Sign Of Kidney Infection?

I had sudden pain, feeling like uti about 1.5 hours ago. It keeps getting worse and worse, there is some blood when extreme pain occurs, but not when i urinate. Which tends to relieve pain. I read it could be a kidney infection and I should go in right away, but it is also 2:30 am. Any ideas on what to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should do some analysis like a urinary test, blood test and abdominal ultrasound. It may be a urinary tract infection but you may have and stone in the urinary tract.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
