Is Blood In Semen While Having Calculus In Ureter A Cause For Concern?

Hi doctor! I am nearly 60 years in age and in a monogamous relationship with my wife. I was recently diagnosed with a 4.2 mm calculus in the ureter, which the surgeon says, would come out on its own with time. I get sexually agitated quite fast and do masturbate occasionally. When masturbation continues for 3-5 days, I get little blood with the semen. Last two times, it went away on its own. What should I do?

Hi,

The blood coming out with masturbation could be secondary to the ureteric stone that you are already diagnosed with. If its painful bleeding then it might be due to stone if not then you need to get your semen analysis and ultrasound of pelvis and tested done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
