Is An Episode Of Fainting Correlated To Infarcts?

Good afternoon Doctor,My father is 67 years old. His speech was affected in 2015 Oct - some infarcts found in left hemisphere of the brain. He is under medication since then. Recently he fainted ( had fainted two times earliest over the last 2 years). Is this connected to the infarcts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be a repeat attack of stroke or infarcts. We have to rule out other causes like electrolyte imbalances also.

Consult a neurologist and get an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
