Is An Antihistamine Safe To Be Taken While On Warfarin?

Can I take an antihistamine while on warfrain ( currently 9 mg) ? Some bug bit me above the forehead and now my right eye is swollen almost shut. This has happened multiple times in the past. I m in warfarin due to apls, had a stroke a week after my second still birth in December. If it ok will it affect my inr very much? I m still not at a thereputic inr, lately has been very high.

Normaly there will be no problem taking and histamine for few days for acute alergic reaction to a bug byte, while on warfarin treatment. The key to your problem is that you say your right eye is swollen, it's necesary to be sure this due only to allergy and not an infection is adding to the clinical picture.
