Is Adjustment In The Dosage Of Lisinopril Advisable?

I have low blood pressure because of a heart medication I am prescribed. I know that I have to sit up and then stand so that I don t get dizzy. Sometimes I forget and have to sit down again. Should I lie down and elevate my legs for a bit? My cardiologist is currently adjusting the Lisinopril.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to consult with cardiologist the possibility to take a low dose of Lisinopril. You can lay down and then sit for a while and after get up. But if you have low blood pressure you should change the dose of medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
