Hi Doc my husband has a small to medium side brown spot on his big toe . Could it be melanoma / & if so how servious can it be.. His feeling very tried & cant seem to get out of bed every morning finds it very hard .. Wandering what type of signs do i have to look at .. Ive book an appointment with the doc Monday
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Brown spots present on the toe of your husband need not be suspected that it could be melanoma. Melanoma often resembles moles. Melanoma is a type of cancer that develops from the pigment-containing cells known as melanocytes. To diagnose the condition, it needs a skin biopsy and its process by means of histopathology. Based on the histopathology report, it can be diagnosed and then treatment needs to be planned accordingly. Kindly consult Dermatologist in this regard for clinical examination and advise.
