General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I presume that it is not a case of epilepsy. Although EEG and MRI are needed to confirm the diagnosis that you have already done. Valparin (sodium valproate) is a drug for seizure disorder i.e. epilepsy. It would be helpful if you could share your daughter's reports with me along with EEG and MRI reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
