Is Trazodone Safe For A Person With Cardiac Complications?
Is trazadone dangerous to use for me. I had mitral valve replacement , pacemaker and defibrillator 5 months ago. I take ambien and trazadone for insomnia. The cardiologist told me to stop taking the trazadone why is that? I am out of ambien and can not sleep. Can I take the trazadone? If so 50,100,or 150 mg

I really appreciate your concern, if you do have some cardiac disease (Valvular heart disease) then you need to avoid the sedative drugs as long as it is possible even potent analgesic like narcotic drug should also be avoided, hope this information helps.
