Is Susten Advisable To Avoid Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Sir my wife is having her first pregnancy and it shows positive. But after 4 days there shows some little bleeding and then and there I took my wife to a Gyno doctor and he prescribed my wife some SUSTEN SR 300 tablets for that purpose. Whether it is safe to take that tablet. Pls Reply. J. KARMAKAR

Hi,

The Susten 300 sustained release consists of hormone content as progesterone used in many of the clinical conditions concerning the uterus issues. In particular where there is recurrent pregnancy loss or unexpected bleed during possible pregnancy, the progesterone is used to maintain uterine epithelium homeostasis and prevent unexpected bleed and maintain early pregnancy. It is absolutely safe to be consumed under medical supervision for particular purposes during early pregnancy.
