Hello,

The Sibgulair syrup contains Montelukast (a leukotriene modifier) molecule used in multiple clinical conditions, mainly that of atopic allergy issues in pediatric as well as adults (In tablet form). The use under medical supervision in prescribed medical doses do not harm child in any way and there are excellent results.

However, if concerned more with the medicine during early childhood, home remedies and options are available to try as:
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water added epsom salt, peppermint oil
- Providing boiled water to drink
- Avoidance of cold drinks, dairy items as ice cream, sugary candy
- Take care that he does not put toys like stuffs in the mouth
- Hygiene care of nose, mouth
- Avoidance of exposure to animal dander, dust, pollen or other allergens
- Boost immunity with high protein, iron, vitamin diet
- Should avoid secondary smoking exposure also
- Tulsi and turmeric paste or syrup in boiled skimmed milk give excellent Ayurvedic benefits

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
