Is Phexin Advisable For Pain In Gums?

Hello Doctor I am suffering from gum pain for past two days.. I got a suggestion from my frnd to use Phexin tablet as a pain killer.. Before i use them jus wanted to make sure it is really an pain killer.. Is it advisable for tooth or gum pain? Kindly give ur valuable suggestion.. Thanks..

Thanks for your query..

As per your query Phexin tablet contains drug Cephalexin which is an antibiotic not a pain killer...

If you want to take some medicine to cure your pain then Cephalexin is not the drug of choice, BUT yes if you have tooth or gum pain caused due to some sort of bacteria infection you can take Phexin (ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC TO IT) along with some pain killer to relieve your pain and infection..

Taking Phexin alone to alleviate pain will not solve your purpose..

I will suggest you to visit a dentist and get your check up done so that the dentist can find out the exact cause of gum pain.

I would suggest you not to take the medicines without knowing the exact nature of disease..
