I have a trigylceride level of 340. im 35 and heavier than i should be but not extreme. im about 150ish. i have begun going to the gym each day about 45 mins, have changed my eating and picked up a gluten free diet. i avoid pasta bread and desserts. i do take medication for other reasons and i take vitamins. I can t seem to lower the trigylcerides and i ve never had this issue before. would you suggest taking the vitamin niacin? i have fms so my body does not take the vitamins that it should from food and otc vitamins.

Good Evening,
Thanks for given information,You may take niacin for triglycerides, if you have not these symptoms such as,
should not take niacin if they have severe liver disease, a stomach ulcer, or bleeding.
How to take Niacin,
Niacin comes in various forms including tablets, capsules, and extended release tablets and capsules. It should be taken as directed, sometimes at bedtime with a low-fat snack. Using a medication such as ibuprofen (Advil) or aspirin (Anacin, Bayer, Bufferin) 30 minutes prior to taking niacin may help prevent side effects such as flushing.
Take niacin with a full glass of cold water. The capsule should be swallowed whole. Breaking or crushing the capsule may cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.
Some people take niacin to treat vitamin deficiency, but most people take it to help lower cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Niacin works best in when combined with a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet.
Thanks,
for consult
Regards,
