Is Motrin Safe To Be Taken While On Coreg And Moexipril?

I am presently taking a beta blocker( Coreg CR) and an ace inhibitor( Moexipril). I am experiencing generalized muscular pain. The only over the counter pain reliever that works is Motrin. I have been taking 400 mg over 24 hours, but on a regular basis. Is there any reason that I should not continue to do this.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There is a risk of interaction between the motrin and the moexipril. The motrin decreases blood pressure lowering effect of the moexipril.

This means that moexipril would not work as well.
There may also be a decrease in kidney function in some persons.

It would be best not to use it for the long term, short term use may be okay

I hope this helps
