Is Methylprednisolone Along With Azithromycin Advisable For Bronchitis?

Hi! I went to the doctor today and was told I have bronchitis because of my chest tightness and bad coughing, especially at night. I was prescribed Methylprednisolone 4 mg Dospak 21 s as well as Azithromycin 250mg tablets 6-pack. What does the first medication do? I read about side effects and I m nervous.

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that you can take these 2 drugs at the same time as there is known drug interaction in between them leading to any side effect. Also, Methylprednisolone helps in Chest tightness relieving the pressure and Azithromycine will take care of the Bronchitis.

I would also suggest that if you have any problem or health issue while using it, you visit your doc as soon as possible.
