Is Macrobid 100mg The Right Medicine For Bronchitis?

Hi, I am in Seoul, South Korea right now and fighting off bronchitis (I know the cough and symptoms from years ago). The only antibiotics I brought with me was in case of UTI. I have Macrobid 100 capsules. Am desperate to do anything to stave off getting sicker before getting on plane on 4/30 back to Los Angeles. Will Macrobid at least help a little? I have no travel money left to go to Seoul doctor. No fever - I don t think - other than my normal age 63 hot flashes. Thank you!

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, possibility of bronchitis is more in your case.
The most common cause for bronchitis is infection and macrobid is good antibiotic.
This will mostly treat your infection and bronchitis.
Also quit smoking if you are smoker.
Drink plenty of fluids orally.
If you are not improving than consult doctor because you will need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So at present take macrobid and if not improving than consult doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
