Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have burning pain in my feet that feels like they are freezing cold but they are not. Currently taking 2700mg gabapentin per day divided by three doses without relief. Also taking 2 Percocet 3x daily which provides relief but doesn t last. Do you think lyrics would work better.
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Lyrica is Pregabalin and the drug is a GABA drug which is found to be very useful in neuropathic pain. The drug is also used in burning pain, anxiety, seizures etc conditions. Gabapentin is also a good drug and has almost same efficacy to Pregabalin. If the drug is not causing improvement then you can start taking Lyrica with consultation of your doctor. The drug should help to control the symptoms. Apart from this also start taking Vitamin E and pyridoxin supplements because both these supplements would help to control the pain.
Consult your doctor for prescription of these drugs.
