General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your son is in.

Enterogermina contains probiotics (which are normal bacillus of intestinal flora).

His pediatrician has prescribed to him to optimize intestinal flora, consequently, his bowel movements frequency will be normalized too.

As he is passing stool every hour, then, it might be related to:
- possible acute bowel infection (viral, bacterial or parasitic): fecal culture is advised to run to determine the right type of infection
- malabsorption, which is often in infants especially when new foods are being introduced to them. Check out what food might increase his bowel movement frequency.

For the moment, I advise to:
- monitor his body temperature and other signs
- give him plenty of fluids with ORS to keep him well hydrated
- give him yogurt, light meals

Wish fast recovery!
