Is ED Caused Due To Blood Thinners?

My husband had 5 stents placed last week and is on a blood thinner now and is concerned that he is unable to get excited or hard. Is this due to it being so soon and he needs more time to heal for things to work again or will he now require some form of medication such as cialis

Hello,

Erectile dysfunction may also be due to psychological conditions including depression, anxiety, and stress. Usually, blood thinners have no negative impact on erection.

But erectile dysfunction medications should not be taken with blood thinners or anticoagulation medications such as warfarin (Coumadin) and enoxaparin (Lovenox).

Xarelto is used in ED but the most common and potentially serious side effect of Xarelto is bleeding.

Because Xarelto is a blood thinner, it makes it harder for your blood to clot. This effect is worse if you also take other medications that thin your blood, such as aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
