Is Codeine Advisable For Leg Pain In A Polio Affected Person?

I am 70 years old, caught polio when I was 2; lower left leg. The older I get the more painful it is to walk. I currently take codine pain relievers if I intend to walk more than 20 minutes or so. Is there any treatment to stop pain in my ankle and knee?.

Hello,

Codeine is very effective for this condition. You can also try drugs like gabapentin after discussing it with a pain physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
