Is Clindamycin Advisable While On Pain Medication?

My husband was prescribed Clindamycin orally. A few years ago, he was prescribed Ryfampin for infection and it reacted with his pain medication. Basically negated the pain medication. At day 4 on the Ryfampin, he was curled in a ball on the bed, had not eaten in 4 days. I found on this website that it cancelled out the benefit of the methadone regime he had been on for a couple of years for neuropathy pain. He significantly improved when we stopped the Ryfampin. Now he has another infection that we are concerned will also become osteo melitis, so we are on the Clindamycin. Should I be concerned that we will have similar reactions. He is no longer taking the methadone, but now is on Levorphanol 2 mg dosage. I don t see that this antibiotic has many drug interactions. Thank you
