Is Cabergoline Prescribed For Pituitary Micro Adenoma Advisable Over Long Run?
I am 26 years old and I have been taking Cabergolin 0.5 once a week on and off for almost 5 years for a pituitary microadenoma. I have been irregular with its usage. My prolactin levels are normal when I take it regularly and they increase when I stop. How long can I keep taking this treatment wiyhoug side effects? Is there anything else that I can do? The pituitary microadenoma has not been growing as noticed by yearly MRIs. But it hasn t shrunk either. Please advise.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the prolactin level comes to normal then no need to continue this medicine, here I would like to advise that clinical complaint is matters if it no symptoms are there then no need to take this, I would advise to see the endocrinologist for better advise hope this information helps.
