Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a sudden drop in blood pressure during intimacy. Dizzy, faint, nauseous. Layed down took blood pressure, fell asleep. 20 minutes later took blood pressure again. One year ago he had upper back/neck surgery. Can still have neck pain at times. Blood pressure reading of 101/66. He is resting, had large glass of water. Does this demand immediate attention?
Hi...Can understand your concern. As per your query Blood pressure of 101/66 is low and is called as hypotension.I advise to drink lot of water and more of liquids intake.Whenever it feels like dizziness or looks like you will faint try to move your legs .Taking a cup of coffee will help. .Lying on bed and elevation of legs by keeping a pillow will help.A bit increased salt in diet will be helpful.Do not worry as always prevention is better than cure. Also to rule out any cardiac pathology you can go for ECG .I hope the information helps you.Take care.
