General & Family Physician 's  Response
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection caused by salmonella typhi. It is very resistant kind of fever. Chances of bacterial resistant are very high. Event after treatment, patient might become carrier. So, total clearance of bacteria is needed.
Advice
1.     Complete bed rest
2.     Ceftriaxone 500 mg twice daily intramuscularly for 14 days
3.     Paracetamol 500 mg if fever occurs
4.     Cold water sponging if fever is more than 100 degree Farenheight
5.     Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated
Thanks
