Is Aventyl An Anti-depressant?

I am taking aventyl 35mg every night. I am taking this for neck problem and shoulder problems. I just looked it up and it says it is for depress. I am not a depress person. But I also take tyroid meds , high blood pressure med and I have three blockages now that I read this. I do not think I should be on this medecation yet my doctor knows of all my medication. what do you think

Antidepressants are commonly used for chronic pain or pain that may be nerve related.
This is the other use of this type of medication.

They are used in persons who do not have any history of depression to treat their pain so it is not unusual that your doctor prescribed this for you.

Anti seizure medications are also used to treat this type of pain in persons who have no history or seizures or have no risk of having a seizure.
