Hello doctor: -) i have a 4 month old baby girl who weighs 4.3 kl as of 2 weeks ago. SHE was diagnosed of having a congenital heart disease - atrial septal defect. Having said that i would like to ask for you expert opinion on what infant formula will be best for her? I have very low milk supply almost nothing. Thank you
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Exclusive breast feeding is the best method of feeding in newborns which will give protection from various infections and chronic diseases on long term basis. If the breast milk is not sufficient, you can give any stage 1 milk formula which are commercially available in the market. But be careful in preparing, handling, and during feeding of infant formula milk to prevent infection and contamination of milk. Feed formula milk with spoon and cup and avoid bottle feeding. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
